Two Poems by Ken W. Simpson

Red Lights

A solitary solecism
Premonitions and superstitions
Withered hopes
Amorphous, insubstantial
Episodic swings
Digressions and detours
Changing lanes
Accelerating and overtaking
Swerving
Inhibitions colliding.

Rock

Strobes
yellow, pink and blue
bounce and change
with a relentless rhythm
probing faces bathed in gold
arms waving
wailing, accelerating
adrenaline pumping
surreal, orange skin
shining eyes, hypnotized.
