A Poem by Denny E. Marshall

When Pigs Fly

She said she would go
Out with me
When pigs fly
I smiled at the reply
My slight fortune
I live on top
Of "Tornado Alley"
I dream of Kansas
Her and I
On the yellow brick road
On the grass
On the farmyard

Denny E. Marshall lives in the Midwest and has had poetry recently published and rejected.
