A Poem by Agholor Leonard Obiaderi

GAMES   AT   OLYMPUS

Exercise belief
Sprint
Swim
100m tracks pools.

Breast tape hope
mixes
tears chlorine-stew pool.

Jump, throw gods
give wind,
speed to the height of
feat. Artemis’s arrow

Apollo shoots
drugs bitterness
scowls in pain at
finishing line.

Gold shines the verge
of vindication
muscles
ripple a flight
into the clouds.
