A Poem by Bill Jansen

How pleasant to think old thoughts

How pleasant to think old thoughts
carried onto the boat
along with philosophical gear

indicated at anchor on a hot afternoon
in a gallery of similar boats
below the outline of a dam

where dangerous girls
stroke the bare suggestion of a lake

a tube of cadmium July
adding lilies to an uncompleted summer.

Bill Jansen lives in Forest Grove, Oregon. Some of his works has appeared
in The Centrifugal Eye, Cirque, and Asinine Poetry.
